The Artist's approach
- I have a rather simplistic approach to Art. I make images that I enjoy in hopes that others will also like them. I believe that the creative process really is a way to communicate with others. I would like to think that the viewers of my work would have some kind of reaction, whether it be love, hate or simply an aesthetic appeal. I rarely assign a true meaning to my work, that is up to the viewer to decide.
- Lastly, creating art is a bid for immortality. A way, if you will, to say "Hey, I was here," to future generations. Much like prehistoric people putting imprints of their hands on cave walls.

The Experience
I made most of the included art after I turned 80. At that point I really hadn't done any art work to speak of for over 10 years. I just thought that i didn't have anything else to say. My work really didn't fit in with the current trend of art being somewhat cold and impersonal. A trend in which principles of good color and design could be ignored in the name of creativity. I finally decided that I didn't care about that any more and stared creating images that I felt compelled to make. To not worry about what other people think, Much of what you see here is from that time period.
